This and That

Art in All Its Forms (this publication’s title in a former life) is now This and That. Why the change? Simply put, I want to experiment more. AIAIF had a clear identity to me, which meant that my writing or podcasts needed to justify that title and its themes. It was an absolute joy for me during the pandemic and a direct reason I ended up working at Classical California KUSC. I’m grateful for that chapter; all of my previous writing and podcasts are still archived here.

This and That is going to be about trying new ideas and finding new concepts for content. Hopefully, there’s room to grow into this, to figure out what I’m doing as I do it. I’m still an artist, so much of this will still be arts-related. But, hopefully, you’ll stick around for everything else!

If I had a broad thesis for what I want to communicate to people as an artist and human, it would be something like:

“This thing over here” is more similar to “that thing over there” than you think.”

The ideas expressed here, whether in writing or some other form, will be grounded in that statement.
